Before you set off, it is worth visiting the Me\u017eotne church, which is located next to the castle hill, and walking up the wooden footbridge to the V\u012bna (wine) hill.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The boat trip starts at the Mazme\u017eotne manor, on the shore of the Lielupe river opposite the park of Me\u017eotne castle and ends at Sta\u013c\u0123ene. This section of the Lielupe river still has a noticeable current and a number of cultural, historical and natural monuments. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5.8 km from Me\u017eotne Castle hill on the right shore of the Lielupe river you can stop in the bay at the Zizma river ravine for a small lunch break, but after 12 km, on the right side, opposite the \u012asl\u012bce river mouth, you will see the ruins of the Salgale church (~200 m from the shore).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trip length: <\/span><b>18km<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trip duration: <\/span><b>6,5h<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The route is easy, with a gentle current, suitable for beginners and families with children. <\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The route is navigable throughout the whole season.
