Join us for a canoe trip on the most popular and scenic route of the Gauja, from Cēsis to Līgatne!
This is the favorite canoeing route of paddlers, which runs through the Gauja National park along its entire length.
The route is popular for its many sights along the way—there’s definitely nothing boring about it! Along this route, you will be able to see the Briedīšu, Vecupes, Edernieku, Leimaņu, and Spriņģu rocks, as well as the beautiful Ķūķu cliffs with their three-tiered rapids (the more experienced can navigate them by boat, while the less experienced can go along the shore).
Meanwhile, the endpoint of the route is the Gauja ferry in Līgatne.
After the trip, you can also enjoy the nature trails in Līgatne.
Typically, our public trips are in Zemgale and Riga region, but we also enjoy going further afield from time to time or experiencing some of Latvia’s classic canoeing routes! If you don’t want to think, plan, or search for yourself but want to enjoy the Gauja—join us for a canoe trip!

INFORMATION:
1) The route is easy, with a gentle current and a few rapids (depending on your skill level, you can paddle through or go around on the shore).
2) The trip may be canceled due to unfavorable weather conditions (such as prolonged steady rain, storms, etc.).
3) One rest break is planned on the riverbank; snacks and water are not included in the price.
4) The price includes the transportation of drivers (1 person per canoe) from the finish back to the starting point.
Registration is recommended at least 48 hours before the trip!
