A sunrise trip in the swamp is a unique opportunity to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature, starting your day with an unforgettable experience.
Latvia is known for its beautiful swamps and bogs, and they look especially enchanting at sunrise, when mist envelops the landscape, creating a magical atmosphere. Sunrises are special moments when the world is just waking up from its slumber, and silence still takes over the whole area.
Sunrise trips are usually the most beautiful, then you can see a wide range of colors in the sky, while clear mornings are often accompanied by fog – breathtaking!
At the eastern edge of the Great Kemeri Bog, during the Soviet era, a peat quarry was started. However, after the year 2000, when a bog restoration project was implemented, it was flooded. In the flooded area, a labyrinth of channels and small lakes has formed, creating a unique and unusual landscape.
Trip length: 4km
Event duration: ~3-3,5h
INFORMATION:
1) The route is easy, with very little current, suitable for beginners and families with children.
2) Day before event, until 12:00, you will receive an informative e-mail from us (also check the spam box)
3) The trip may be canceled due to adverse weather conditions or if 4 boats have not registered
4) Sunrise watching break on the water (you can bring tea, snacks)
5) The trip can be rescheduled to a different date by notifying us at least 48 hours before the trip.
